Meet Your Provider
Dirk Singleton, PMHNP-BC, IPP-C
Founder & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
My path to mental health care began in an unexpected place: behind a coffee bar. For nearly a decade, I practiced what one therapist friend called “natural therapy”—offering compassion, presence, and curious listening to his customers. That same heart for connection led me to become a psychiatric nurse, and eventually, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Integrative Psychiatric Professional.
Today, with Liminal Space Mental Health, I strive to bring together clinical expertise, holistic care, and mindful presence to support my clients to be the narrator of their own story, through life’s many transitions. My approach to care is grounded in the belief that mental health is influenced by the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and that healing is most powerful when we are each empowered to be the authors of our own story.
I find my greatest joy and hope in playing… with kids and family (including Mango the family pup), creating and recording music, high-intensity workouts, Tai Chi and Bai Mei King Fu, hiking and exploring nature, and seeking stillness and presence to enjoy the playtime!

Why We’re Called Liminal Space
We chose the name Liminal Space Mental Health because healing often happens in the “in-between.” These are the thresholds between what has been and what is yet to come. By working intentionally in these spaces, we support growth, transformation, and the creation of a healthier, more empowered future.
